In response to another user, Zefar says that “The might have a week left to live, depends on what Kaldaien does when his ban runs out.” According to moderator Zefar, the ban is only a temporary measure against the user’s conduct in the discussions page. The Steam user known as Kaldaien (along with other NieR: Automata owners) was banned from NieR: Automata‘s Steam forums. It’s difficult to pin down the exact source due to how large the Steam discussions surrounding the fact have become. Most of what we have now are rumors as people around the Internet distort the story in a way or another, with some going as far as claiming that FAR functions as a malware. As legitimate owners started to ask Square Enix to remove the infamous Denuvo anti-temper, a side story developed around the FAR mod, a fix for many of the game’s problems on PC. If denuvo actually impacts general performance in this game is up for debate of course, but those 15fps occasional drops are definitely not caused by it, especially since denuvo does not performs checks/pings multiple times while you run the game, it does them once every few weeks, and this is proven by the fact you can play the game once while online and then play it compltely offline for about 2 weeks, after which you'll need to turn online again so denuvo can confirm, the game's key and let you play.Yesterday we reported that the PC version of the critically acclaimed NieR: Automata was finally cracked by pirate groups. This game's PC port and its many issues have been explored back and forth on a very technical aspect by people who have much more knowledge than most of us about how a game works, and all of its issues(including fps drops) have confirmed causes, none of which is denuvo. So the cracked version stil has denuvo, still performs checks/pings, and thus it should have the same 15fps drop you claim the legit version has.Īt the same time, there are a lot of people who can play this game at constant 60fps(with the exception of 5-ish fps drop during world traversal in transitioning zones whih has already been confirmed to be due to the game loading all assets at once, not due to denuvo), which prove there is no fps drop caused by denuvo. Ive tested it at a friends house who had non denuvo cracked.Funny, cause the cracked version still has denuvo: with most denuvo games, cracked versions don't remove denuvo itself(a non-denuvo crack does not exist), they make it so it sees it's checks/pings as always successful without actually connecting to denuvo servers.
